ADAPTATION NOTES

What the film draws from.

The Long Emergency’s 2076–2126 chronology and its moving-map vocabulary come from Experience Synapse. The Architect’s survival, planted code, imposed peace, rebellion, and retreat into control follow Campfire Export (3)(2).pdf, especially “Before the beginning,” “The architect,” “Plexious Fatum regula,” and “The government in synaps.”

The five coastlines are seeded, procedurally generated geography for this film. District identities follow the existing Experience Synapse setting. Transitions between the PDF’s historical anchors are newly written connective history. Server eras are shown without invented calendar dates; alternate Venus routes are not treated as events in the mainline past.

The Cyst act is a new proposed history, written around the political consequences of the departure. The separate Cyst passage mentioned for this rebuild was not yet supplied when this edition was made.

Earth outlines use public-domain Natural Earth data from the reference site. Routes, troop movements, shelters and impacts illustrate narrative relationships, not exact historical frontiers or casualty counts. All events are fictional.

Reduced-motion preferences are respected. The film starts paused. Playback unfolds the action; with reduced motion enabled, each scene shows a settled visual state while the timeline advances. No flashing effects or sound autoplay.
